Ivorian gendarmes ride on January 11, 2011 in Abidjan`s Abobo PK 18 neighborhood, a bastion of the country`s internationally recognized President Alassane Ouattara, where gunfire between incumbent strongman Laurent Gbagbo`s Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and armed men left at least to civilians dead. People living in the northern Abidjan neighborhood said that security forces had entered the district early on January 11 and gone into people`s homes saying they were searching for weapons.
