He was arrested on June. 18, 2008 in a corruption scandal linked with Lucien Tape Doh, head of the national marketing body and chairman of the Bourse Cafe Cacao (BCC). Lucien Tape Doh was arrested on June 19, 2008 on charges of embezzlement, fake bookkeeping and misappropriation of millions of Euros. Ivory Coast exports more than 40 percent of the world`s cocoa beans.
